About Sasha
Sasha Moravec grew up surrounded by the beauty of Sonoma and Benicia, California, where her love for photography blossomed early on. This passion led her to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
After returning to the Bay Area, Sasha spent over a decade working with the talented David Wakely in San Francisco, capturing everything from towering skyscrapers in China to stunning homes in Marin and Silicon Valley. In 2017, she returned to her roots, pursuing her photography career while settling down in Napa Valley with her husband, Jason, and their two children.

Are you capable of shooting dynamic spaces with lots of activity/people?
Yes, I have shot many diverse environments over the course of my career and can tackle challenging shoots with patience and resolve.
Will you be able to capture the beautiful views outside the windows?
Yes, I use bracketing during the shoot to capture the lights and darks of every part of the image and composite each photograph to read as our eye sees the subject.
There are a bunch of unsightly trash cans, power poles, and equipment that I wish were not there. Can those be retouched out?
Yes. Almost any unsightly/unwanted surprises during the shoot can be retouched to perfection in post-production.
Are you able to capture a very large building or tiny space with little distortion?
Yes, I use special lenses to correct distortion and make sure everything is rectilinear in post production.
The furniture and walls were supposed to be a very specific color but the fabric samples were slightly off. Can this be corrected in post?
Yes, all colors can be adjusted and matched in post-production until the client is happy with the outcome.
Do you hire your own models for shoots?
No, but I have worked with models on several occasions. Usually my clients will hire models if they desire specific people in empty spaces, otherwise my assistant and I try to find people who are near and willing to walk through our shots.
Do you service only the San Francisco Bay Area?
No. Although I live and mainly service the San Francisco Bay Area, I also travel all over the US and overseas.
How long have you been working as an architectural photographer?
I have been working in the industry for nearly two decades and have a degree in photography from SVA in New York
